We have compiled answers to a selection of the most frequently asked questions we’ve received in regards to usage of our products.
Please read this section before contacting us if you are unsure how to proceed after reading the guidelines above.

What is “commercial use” and who does it apply to?

“Commercial use” constitutes usage by a company or individual representing a corporate entity. If you are an individual, your work is considered “non-commercial use” in most cases.

Do I need permission to use a VoCreatures voice library?

For non-commercial use, it is not necessary to contact us. This includes hobbyist activities such as releasing your music on streaming platforms or producing artwork featuring our voice libraries or characters.

Can I sell music created with VoCreatures voice libraries?

As an individual, you are licensed to use both the character’s appearance and the voice library associated with them for music streaming platforms and other digital and physical CD creation.

Can I use a VoCreatures voice library without their name or character?

Yes, you are not required to credit a voice library’s name or use their character design.

However, you cannot falsely attribute the output from the voice library to the voice provider or other artists/individuals.

Can I commission or create merchandise with a VoCreatures character?

Yes, please refer to our guidelines regarding “hobbyist activities”. If the merchandise is to be mass-produced, please reach out to us with a business enquiry first.

Can I submit a work featuring a VoCreatures voice library to a contest?

Yes, in most cases this is acceptable.

However, if the prizes include handing over ownership of the work to a company to commercialise such as in the case of being featured on a mass produced CD or video game, please have the managing company reach out to us with a business enquiry.
